I know some of you use skycaddies and would therefore put a post on here instead of getting a salesman to talk rubbish at me...

Basically what I want to know is, what is the difference between the 2.5 and the 2.5 lite? It probably says on the website and have probably read it myself but get confused by intelligreen?? and don't have a clue what they are on about.

I use the intelligreen, but in all honesty it's rarely important for me to move the flag around on the graphic display because I tend just to read the middle and back off the automatic display that pops up once in range.
I wouldn't buy a more expensive one for this feature; but I guess on HUGE greens it could help (or at least be interesting!)

Our greens are small and tricky. I have looked on more websites and one shows distances to hazards and the other doesn't. Is it really neccessary to have that feature?

I am contenplating buying the cheaper one and then if i feel like i need all the features of the more expensive one, you can buy a package for about £30-£40

You want to be good, yes? Do you have years of experience to guide yourself around tricky courses, no?

If you get to play a course with bunkers all over the place, or ditches, you'll save yourself time and energy if you use the hazards feature. I use it ALL the time.

The intelligreen rotates the green depending on what angle you approach it. i.e. If you have a long narrow green and you approach it straight on you'll get one set of front, middle and back readings, but if you approach the same green say from 45 degrees, you'll get a different set of readings. Also with intelligreen, you can move the cursor to the estimated flag position.
