We have always given each other a card on V Day, but not gifts, 33 years and counting.

Wife and I swap cards and have a takeaway, we occasionally go out for a meal but we tend to have a fairly quiet night.

Its all good, nipped to M&S on the way home and got the feed 2 for £20 deal which includes a 2 course meal box of chocs and bottle of wine for her as I don't drink.

Also bought a couple of tickets to Lion King for next week, I'll edit the online receipt to make it look like they were booked before and were only available dates :smirk:

Will pop a film on in the evening and have arranged a weeks break to Florence which I'll surprise her with, sounds like a lot but florence is only air fares thanks to the family on mums side being there and we can stay in a cottage my grandparents used to have which now all grandkids stay at on visits. So Jobs a goodun so to speak:thup:

The wife and I agreed years ago not to bother with valentines day. We love each other every day and don't need to be fleeced for heavily marked up tat

Takeaway is doing valentines special as long as they deliver before the Liverpool v zenit match kicks off at 5.00 pm were sorted for a night on the couch ;-)
