Should of been first comp.

Turned up to play first ever comp at club today , unfortunatley all spaces were taken . Still managed to go out and play nine holes, these were the worst nine holes of my life , it was like I never had played golf before.

God must of known what I would play like and thankfully stopped me playing in the comp.

Any one else had this sort of thing happen.

Does your club normally have roll up competitions? At mine you have to enter before a set closing date in the pro shop and you then get randomly drawn for partners once the competition has closed

It was a open Stableford comp , I have to enter 3 of them to be able to enter the club Champs.

As I still do not know to many people at the club , I was told to turn up and they would try and put me with a group of 2 or 3,Unfortunatly all groups had 4 players so I was stuffed.

Same here. Check with your pro or sec for entry spec.
