Shorts on Tour

It’s crazy that it’s almost 2020 and we are saying it’s a good thing that adults are allowed to make a choice to wear shorts when playing golf.
Just goes to show how outdated golf (and people’s attitudes in golf) can be at times.
It really is ridiculous that we're even discussing it. Should have been allowed 30 years ago. For every other aspect the pros dress code was pretty much in line with every club in the country, except for the one caveat that they weren't allowed to wear shorts. Makes no sense.

careful what you wish for... i can see that Van Rooyen... turning up in some Daisy Duke hot pants....

Its about time.

We play in temperatures of over 35c very often during the summer and take my word for it, its bloody difficult even IN shorts, and we have the early tee times.
Like all of these things, so long that it is managed correctly we should fine.

They have just said that the temperature in South Africa is now over 40c.

Looks scorchio this morning - stunning setting - perfect for shorts. Looking smart. Didn’t Brian Barnes sometimes wear shorts back in the 1970’s?

I am noting socks...🤪

I watched some of the golf this morning ......................... and it did look a bit strange to me.
I'm sure it'll look perfectly normal over time.
Having said that, it's definitely a step in the right direction, good decision. (y)

Shorts aside - someone should tell Marcus Armitage that open-mouth gum chewing is not a good look...did his parents not tell him to keep his mouth shut when eating 😣
