Second pair of dryjoys splitting after first outing. Back to the shop on a long lunch tomorrow to see what else they have. May give adidas a whirl and see how they fit.

Pain in the conkers really!

It really is not good enough is it, compared to street shoes they aren't cheap. Footjoy have a reputation to live up to and recently they seem to be coming up well short of that reputation.

Very true. Dont expect it when shelling out a fair amount of wedge for all the benefits they spout on about.

At least the shop aren't messing me about, that would put the tin lid on it!

Going to try on the tour 360 and see what they fit like, albeit adidas' reputation is hardly flawless when it comes to shoes either!

I love adidas shoes but only in the summer, they dont fair too well in winter - too soft. Got a cheap pair of nike off ebay for the winter and they have been brilliant - bullet proof. Only one issue - the sole is not thick so sometimes you can feel the studs (if that makes sense).
Got some sports insoles - job done.
:)

Very strange indeed Jock, my AQLs have been faultless since day one.

I may just be unlucky with the model/batch.

Theyve some fj sports so if they have the green insole i'm going to try them also.

Just a pair of shoes, annoying that they can go so wrong!

You don't need Extra Wide and are buying mediums, do you? :)

Nope, feet aren't that fat or i could understand! ;)

It's just weird, theyre literally splitting all along the shoe just above where the sole meets the leather (if that makes sense) and also across the toe

Have never, ever had an issue with FJ. OK I only go for dryjoys and Icons but nonetheless fitted perfectly everytime straight from the box and never had splits other than through old age

These are dryjoys. Main reason i went for them was the universal approval compared to some other models and brands. Like i said, probably just unlucky with the model, or this run of them.

I've only ever worn adidas golf shoes. I've never had a single pair split or leak. I did have to take two pairs of 4.0's back as the lining on the inside had worn through.

I went over to the Adidas Ltd Editions just before november and they have been utterly perfect. They fit perfect, extremely comfortable and I love the styling.

On saturday it was very very wet. The other 3 in my fourball had wet feet by the end of the round. Two wear footjoys and the other Nike. Not sure of which models. My feet where totally dry.

Highly recommend then!

At the heel? Mine went there and the replacemant pair are a torture on my feet. Time to try Homer's suggestion and get some icons me thinks.

Yup, right at the point your heel meets the shoe. They free upgraded me after I complained. The Ltds have a full leather interior.

Will be buying a white pair for summer.

Ah, maybe give them a wide berth aswell then!!

Yeah but with 11 pairs you can afford to spread them around a bit. I doubt if you wear the same pair more than 3 times in a season
:D :D :D

Actually I have two pairs I use exclusively in the winter a black pair and a blue/black pair because they are easy to clean. I'll only where the others if the course is dry. They must get 25-35 rounds each between November and March plus numerous sessions on the practice ground and never had a problem

Mine did the same after only about 8 rounds and thought it was maybe just me but seems like a common fault with them.

I should have really took them back but i'm too bloody lazy and i don't really notice it now.
