This is unreal. What has happened to respect. When I was at school and it was not that long ago....well 18/19 years you were afraid of getting a clump off the teachers if you dared to back chat them.

I'm not always in agreement with teachers but no one should have to go in to school wondering if they are going to get stabbed to death while they teach! There's no respect for authority and the majority of it is down to pisspoor parenting! No one seems to know why it happened but surely the first question is, how has a schoolboy got a knife into class?

I have a few friends that went yo that school an also taught by her an all say the same she was a great teacher and always had time for anyone. RIP

To help put things into perspective thankfully this sort of thing is extremely rare. IMO not a reflection of society or bad parenting. Just a sick, demented, individual who for some unknown reason stabbed this poor teacher to death.

By all accounts its a pretty good school and the pupil was allegedly a quiet "normal" kid, obviously not underneath.

Think I'm write in saying that prior to this shocking murder the last teacher to be killed in the UK was Dunblane and a head teacher in London the same year so still a rare event although tragic nonetheless

Only the lad knows if it was premeditated or not or if he lost it or flipped etc

The motives will be unknown at present

Er? no one said it was OK and no one said that it wasn't premeditated. Not crass at all, I don't see how you read it that way. Just pointing out that this guy was (is) very disturbed. Probably not a unruly teenager brought up badly but a nut job and there probably wasn't anything anyone could have done to prevent it.

You totally misinterpreted my post mate, maybe I wasn't clear so apologies for that.

I have only read that the guy was apparently a quiet, seemingly good natured lad. So I'm thinking he is a psychopath rather than a yob that was dragged up. That really was the main point I was making, and that its a tragic but thankfully a very rare thing.

Point taken , however these kids need discipline and respect drummed in to them and regarding being premeditated if someone is carrying a knife into school how can it possibly not be premeditated?
