I'm selling a driver on ebay and someone's asked for the serial number.

Is it wise to let them have it or could they use it to sell a fake club at a later date.

Cheers.
Jim.

Cheers guys... just didn't want to give details of a legit club to a scammer.

Sensible man I see!

Maybe as an alternative you could assure them that if they are not satisfied the club is genuine to contact the manufacturer upon receipt. Or something along those lines.

State why you do not wish to give away the serial number, I am sure they will understand if they are a genuine customer.

I don't see what harm it can do. It isn't like you are giving your credit card number. The buyer can't use the serial number to create a new club.

However, not all clubs have serial numbers.

I think you have found someone seriously interested can't be any harm in pm the serial number to them if they were after genuine serial numbers only got walk in Ag and pick a few clubs up.
