We have three weeks left and thats it also, club championships were last week, and only one chance left for handicap adjustments (barring general play end of year) weather is good at the moment, course is playing well and this week they need to hollow tine the greens (much later would spoil them for the whole off season).
Good thing is that the christmas comps start, 18 holes initially then dropping eventually down to 9 when the weather drops off and on the 4th october we our winter 18hole society starts within the club.

we've got some serious works going on over our 1st and 9th holes at the moment so I've probably got only one final comp, the October medal to play before the competitive season comes to an end. I've got a Mixed Fours final on Sunday to look forward to. Hopefully they'll have the two holes playable for the weekend.

All the wet weather in August has certainly taken its toll on the course. It does look very autumnal now. Lots of worm cats on the fairways in the morning and the rough is getting heavier and thicker as it has been more difficult to get it cut in the wet weather.

Ah well there's only 6 months to go to the start of the season ;)

So I was right, he was definately a bandit off 2 ! :D

I knew Fraser and I had read him correctly ;)

That's certainly a very good , consitant season Ivans had. Maybe you'll need to start working on your game dodger, you don't want to drift up to a high handicap.... you know, something like 3 :D

You'll soon turn into a "has been" ;)

All that young blood at Goswick burning up the course, you "old guys" are maybe getting past it :D
