I thought the same. That high wide angle camera view was just teasing us.I actually said he's missed it as it hit the roof of the net. Must have been the angle of the camera![]()

I think it could work in Rangers favour not getting Gerrard. If they can get an experienced manager that can play positive attacking football they'll do well. I'd go for the Bodo Glint manager.I thought Stevie G was nailed on when he came over for an interview... I wonder what put him off...... Tbh I never even remembered he was at rangers for 3 seasons..
Couldn’t understand the excitement about Gerrard coming back. He won 1 domestic trophy out of 9 in his spell, then walked out mid season.I think it could work in Rangers favour not getting Gerrard. He won the league from nowhere and went the whole season unbeaten. That was quite a feat.Couldn’t understand the excitement about Gerrard coming back. He won 1 domestic trophy out of 9 in his spell, then walked out mid season.
McInnnes would be a good choice, but can’t see him leaving the Jambos.
It was, but it did help that Celtic totally self destructed under Lennon. He won the league from nowhere and went the whole season unbeaten. That was quite a feat.
I think it was when Beale came back that claim was made.I remember when he walked out, Rangers fans weren’t that bothered, and were claiming that Beale was the real brains behind the operation![]()
Not my idea.I liked your Bodo idea.
As an Everton fan I can confirm, no it won't be pretty. Nor will it ever be pretty. He might stabilise the football side of things but fans won't enjoy the ride. Not my idea.
They should go all out for McInnes imo, make him an offer he can’t refuse. If they can’t get him, then Dyche is a good bet, the football won’t be pretty, but it will be effective.
Fans only enjoy football when they win, that’s what counts. As an Everton fan I can confirm, no it won't be pretty. Nor will it ever be pretty. He might stabilise the football side of things but fans won't enjoy the ride.
You say that but turgid soon wears thin. Simply winning when you aren't sounds like a panacea but when you are grinding results out and little more then it isn't enough. After all, football is meant to be entertaining as well.At the moment, we need effective not pretty.

What’s so bad about his style of play? You say that but turgid soon wears thin. Simply winning when you aren't sounds like a panacea but when you are grinding results out and little more then it isn't enough. After all, football is meant to be entertaining as well.
Get him in, don't give him more than a two year deal. That way, when you've had enough of what you are watching you simply don't renew his contract and it doesn't cost you to get rid
It's a safety first approach. Pack the defence and midfield, restrict the midfield from breaking and joining up with the solo striker. The striker will be lonely, very lonely. What’s so bad about his style of play?
The very nature of the EPL makes about 16 teams play like that. It's a safety first approach. Pack the defence and midfield, restrict the midfield from breaking and joining up with the solo striker. The striker will be lonely, very lonely.
Goals will come from set pieces or a break, containing 2-3 players only. 1-0 wins are his target.
He's a pragmatic coach but he's not able to move beyond damage control. If you want that, crack on, but blimey it will be a tough watch. Oh, and he won't change. It will just be more of the same.

Turned them down last night.I doubt he’d turn rangers down if they went for him
Southampton under Martin shipped goal after goal via the keeper and defenders trying to play Beckenbauer football and failing. He kept doing the same week after week, they were so easy to play against. Had he compromised there a little, kept the flare for further up the pitch, he may still have been employed by them. The very nature of the EPL makes about 16 teams play like that.
Martin at least gave it a go with Southampton, played with a bit of flare but that just got him the sack.
