Personally I am sad to see Martin go. I thought he was working hard during the week to get the mentality in the team in order to then get some results. Whoever comes in and manages them has to work with the players Martin bought in. Good job that the majority of them are loans at the back so they can get rid at the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see how the match going fans who necessitated a police escort for Martin to be able to leave the Falkirk stadium the other night react if the new guy who comes in gets off to a shaky start.

The former deputy leader of the Scottish Conservatives has called for "no more Buddhists" as Rangers manager following the sacking of Russell Martin.
Murdo Fraser, who is the list MSP for mid-Scotland and Fife, posted on social media following the removal of the Gers boss after 17 games in charge.
He wrote: "No more vegans, Bhuddists (sic) or Green Party members please Rangers."
Mr Martin has been a vegan since 2014 and was formerly an owner of vegan restaurant Erpingham House.
He revealed in 2018 that he had joined the Green Party, saying he "just thought this aligns with my values and morals".
The former defender has said he is not a "huge fan of organised religion" but has followed Buddhist teachings to help with "visualisation, manifestation, goal-setting".
Mr Martin was appointed Rangers manager in the summer but was sacked on Sunday night after managing just five wins in 17 games in charge.
The final match of his reign was a 1-1 draw at Falkirk, after which he had to be escorted from the stadium by police.
