We were lucky it was only 5 at the break, could easily have been double figures. No idea why one of the fullbacks was playing higher than the winger (AJ) and the other was trying to play as a centre midfielder leaving 2 centre backs against their 3 attackers with no one picking up Brandt who ripped us apart.

So naive, Rodgers set the team up like we were going to play St Johnstone again rather than the team that was in the Champions League final 5 months ago.

Was fully expecting a skelping but that went above and beyond. Just how bad is Scottish football?
Rodgers got interviewed at the end of the programme and said he's not going to change the way he plays in Europe. That level of stubbornness is going to lead to similar results against the big guns in Europe. 🤷‍♂️

Could it be that Rogers knows that his defence is not a patch on the attacking part of the team and thinks they have to have a go?
God only knows... Even the best attacking teams in Europe have a defensive midfielder.. You only have to look at how everyone is saying city are gonna be weaker without rodri.. Celtic have mcgregor trying to link defense to midfield / frontline... Hardly a tackler in the team.. Works against weaker opposition but well found out against top teams.. Maybe work once every blue moon against better teams..

Disappointed in Celtic result…however at least I can say to every Celtic supporter ‘now you know how it feels to be a St Johnstone supporter’.😘

But no consolation as I always support every Scottish team in European games.
We get that feeling a few times in Europe every year. I go into every European game just hoping we don't get embarrassed.

Grim night at Ibrox, stuffed 4-1 by a team sitting 11th in the French league. Well, if we wanted to know where Scottish football ranks, this week has certainly laid that bare.

Not surprising given that Lyon spent close to €150 million in the summer.

Usual unmissable chances missed by Rangers. 😬

That’s a mad amount of money to spend in that league (PSG excepted).

Domestically they have struggled, 7 points from 6 games and 12 goals conceded.

Bottom line is two dreadful performances from our sides this week.

Temp manager on an unbeaten run and they are top of their European league ;)
Stats show aa pretty even game except for corners, Hearts won 7 and conceded 0.
Another very late goal to win this time.
At least with you lot it was a very late goal to WIN

Anyway..rumour has it that the St Johnstone ‘walk on’ music could be a Wagnerian fanfare…looking forward to an exciting ride with Valaraki…🥰
