Should have been 4 up at halftime and the penalty was the turning point. Beaton got the call correct the first time as Johnson clearly won the ball but VAR decided to leave that part out in the replay they showed to Beaton for some reason.Quite a game. Celtic were lucky.

Thought Beaton was dreadful. The only big decision he got right was to book Silva for diving and he reversed that! Ignored the Goldson handball, ignored the blatant foul on Iwata in the build up to Desser's disallowed goal, despite the fact it was right in front of him. Booked Kuhn for persistent fouling despite the fact he hadn't committed a single foul previously! 23 fouls against Celtic (most of them innocuous), 10 fouls against Rangers.
I'd have taken a draw beforehand, but it was disappointing to concede so late on. Not sure the draw merited Rangers lap of honour though
We ran out of steam, Hatate run the show but was done after an hour, Mcgregor clearly not fit. However we've got 6 games left, 4 at home, while Rangers have 7 left, 5 away. I think we are in the box seat, very confident we will beat Rangers at Celtic Park with a much fitter midfield.

It was a blatant foul, right in front of Beaton's nose. You'd be better off asking why he ignored it initially.

Lawrence never touched the ball, it was an obvious foul that Beaton should have got right as he was right there.

There was nothing “soft” about it, the player made zero contact with the ball and full contact with the player. Clear foul.
Couple of minutes later Lawrence goes right through the back of Hatate and no booking while he booked Kuhn for putting his hand on a Rangers players shoulder.
Thought Beaton was a disgrace and the fact he was even given the game by the SFA should be questioned why.

So a defender winning the ball (you can see he clearly redirects the ball) then an attacker taking 2 full steps and falling over the outstretched leg is having green tinted glasses on?
Maybe we should be questioning why the VAR replay left out the most of what happened and only showed the referee the half step before the attacker hits the defenders leg.
If that’s a penalty then you simply can’t make a challenge in the box since it doesn’t matter if you play ball first as the attacker just needs to run into you to get a penalty.

Rangers were poor yesterday and fortunate to get a point IMO. Celtic were good in the first half but terrible in the second. Two very ordinary sides but Rangers still in pole position just about. It's going to be really close.

Record Online seem to have a written article on Rangers win at Dundee the other night.
Seemingly they had a rollover penalty from the week before.
