Whatever format is best and chosen doesn't really matter to me. Once I take my hood off I just grip and rip :D

Jusr point me in the right direction and take off my lead.

Can I propose Doh as the England Capt? Two reasons.

1. He plays a lot of comps and knows his way around.
2. He is already club capt so the extra pressure should stand him in good stead.

3rd Doh for Capt. Sure he wouldn't object. Seems the right man for the job.

I dont see the harm in GPS being used :D

Happy with the captaincy but would suggest the draw for friday should be tweaked so that people who have played the course are playing in different groups.
The course is pretty straight forward but some local knowledge could only help.

Happy to take on the captaincy guys if thats how you feel.
I already have some ideas about pairings for the friday.

Good call by Ivan who obviously also has experience Judging by his handicap and email address? would be great if you would become Vice-captain if thats ok by you.

Can we all arrange to meet at the club at least an hour before the first tee time.

Ivan i will email you so we can have some discussion about the Friday pairings

Great stuff, we now have Doh and Dodger as El Capitanos. I've not had to make any alterations to the spreadsheet that I emailed everyone so you can use that to formulate pairings and get handicaps, emails and mobiles.

5 weeks today, just pray for no driving rain a la Craigielaw event...

Cheers
Andy

If I have to be there an hour early, I am going to have to leave before I go to bed. I was planning on driving there in my golf shoes, and legging it to the first tee, Crowborough stylie.

I have about 3 1/2 hour drive, tony has about 1 1/2 to get to me. Have you worked out journey time Murph?.

I still think minibus & jolly boys outing would be better

Google maps says 5 hours, 45 minutes. So, leave at 6, tee off at 12. Sorted. Now, what do I do with the spare 15 minutes?

Depending on how flush I feel, I may leave on Thursday night, and stop over Nottingham way. Sensible option.

On the other hand I may do it in one hit, and leave 5ish.

The trouble with Jolly Bus, is they only really do 50 odd. I would have to leave now.

You have obviously never heard the term overgolfed!
You should be tapering, prior to the main event.

Seriously, I won't be leaving til after work, and was thinking more of stopping at midnight, just to reduce the mileage on the day.

Tempting offer though....
