This is one I saw on the BBC. If two players in the foursomes have ball contracts with different manufacturers, which ball do they use? Apart from contractual obligations, there is also the question of which ball each guy prefers.

I remember the story that when Hal Sutton decided to pair up Woods and Mickelson, Big Phil found out when Sutton threw some Nike balls at him on the range and told him that "You'd better get used to playing with these". Classy huh?

Lets face it, the Europeans have not been seriously on top of their game.

What has been the mood in the European camp after the first day?
Is their still an upbeat feel of confidence, or heads starting to drop?

Secondly, if you did see him before his first round, how was Oliver Wilson looking? Absolutely terrified or cool, calm and collected?

slightly different take on this - the US 'uniform' today looks drab, as does some of their golf.

just how short is that 'rough'? on some of the tv shots it looks no more than an inch.
