I know I'm in a very sizable minority on this subject, but I'm really disappointed. Would have liked to have seen it played this year, without fans.

I think the decision to defer was informed by seeing how much the absence of fans is impacting golf and other sports played since resumption!
I think the Ryder Cup is very different to your weekly PGA event. These events are fine with no fans, but the Ryder Cup is all about that pressure cooker atmosphere and who handles it the best, etc.

Any golf event in the US is better without fans IMO, especially the Ryder Cup! No idiots pi££ed up by 8am chanting "USA, USA, USA" like they're going off on a full scale armed conflict; or shouting out "in the hole" on a tee shot.......on a par 5!! ??

Inevitable as the virus is rampant in the US at the moment. Bringing 50,000+ fans together in one place and then distributing them back all over the world doesn't seem like a good idea.
