I love it personally as it’s a break from the norm, the us against them and sticking one over the Yanks is always fun because we all know Merica!! Is world champion at everything even sports that don’t have world championships
They need to bring matchplay events back to the regular tours they were always superb.

What's typical of a "Yanks" attitude? I was born in the US....and have a US passport. I've lived most of my life in other countries and am now one of the "horrible" migrants making their home in the UK.
I will not be watching it. I certainly wouldn't pay extra to watch it. If it were on a major channel for free.....I still wouldn't watch more than a couple of minutes of it....as I do with any golf action. Boring to watch, which is my attitude to most sport stuff on tv. I am a retired Science/PE/Health teacher.......paid to coach basketball, track+field, cross country, volleyball, rifle, wrestling and even football/soccer at various times. I've liked to be involved in sport in the past, but watching someone else do it and not have any control of the outcome is boring (to me....obviously not to other people).

My wife and kids are completely oblivious to the event, which proves it is easy to avoid.
The RC is the biggest event in golf, so what do you expect to find on a golf forum or at a golf club the day before the event?
