Slight change of sport to Rugby Leauge but some strange goings on between Leigh and Wigan. They are due to meet on Friday in the Super League semi final but Leigh's chairman has allegedly stated that Leigh won't play as Wigan haven't given them enough tickets. Wigan are supposed to give at least 10% of the tickets to the away team and have actually offered double this but Leigh want more. Wigan says this isn't possible due to safety rules/advice.

Will be interesting to see if Leigh do play as they are only one match away from a Grand Final appearance.

Why is this being played there ?
Cash probably.

Massive amount of 🇿🇦 living over here. Third game South Africa have played there in 3 years (All Blacks 2023 & Wales 2024) but those were Quatar Cup matches.

Looking forward to it. I’m taking Glyn with me so he can experience an international game. Hopefully he will get to watch Siya Kolisi lift the Rugby Championship Trophy.

There are a few tickets still available (£55 for an adult) so anyone who likes rugby and has the time should get themselves down.

Heartbreaking for him

It seems that professional footballers and rugby players are more at risk of it

Really hope they have some break throughs with the treatment
After seeing what happened to Rob Burrow and Doddie Weir, he must be looking at that and thinking it's going to happen to him. A horrible prospect for anyone.

Not sure what to make of Scotland’s 85-0 win over USA. Before the game I thought USA were quite useful…but Scotland took them apart with what appeared to be some, actually a lot of, superb handling and running. But…🤷‍♂️

Oh heck it…I should just enjoy it. Much tougher 80 minutes’s ahead.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Interesting choices - find it a bit staggering that Fin Smith is not involved
It is relatively logical as it was a choice between him and Ford to start but neither are the best bench options as they offer the same thing and only cover one position, which is not much use with a 6-2 split on the bench. Marcus Smith not only a different playing style but covers full back, which would then allow Freddy Steward on to the wing in an emergency. That covers your back 3 with a couple of the back rows threatening to cover centre, and CCS covering back row and lock. That gives you cover across the pitch whereas there would be gaps with a one position fly half and a lack of the ability to change styles if necessary. In reality Ford and Fynn Smith are competing to start but neither are as attractive bench options

For me Fin Smith should be starting , I know Ford did well in the summer on the tour but it’s time to move on and look to build for the future and George Ford shouldn’t be it , and I think Smith is a better choice at ten and better with the boot

Given time i would expect Fin to be able to cover 12 as well
