I was under the (wrong) impression that you were proposing for this to be the "main" event for the forum each year, sorry.

No sweat and definitely no offence taken. I was proposing this would be one of many across the UK so that people could get to as a many as their budget, time and inclination allowed. I was only looking at making it a permanent event in terms of a venue and date as I know I the club will be accommodating (they have already waived the all societies off the 1st by 9.00 rule) in terms of dates and hopefully price. A fixed date and venue may make it easier for people to plan and would help other organising other events so there isn't a clash.

The idea I thinks was to get as many forum meets going as possible. If it all takes off as Mike envisaged, we plan to do a report in the mag each month from around the country. What we would also do if these events became regular calender fixtures is maybe publish a diary for the 2010 season outlining all of these sort of days in the various locations

Fantasic idea it gives us all something to look foward to.
