Came across this hilarious video on another forum and thought it was worth a share. Some hilariously ludicrous comments in this video. Apparently Hogan was rubbish and only got good by pounding balls until his hands bled. Rory also has an unstable and inefficient swing. Ha. I'd take an inefficient swing if it gets the results Rory is getting.

You're missing out. There's some hilarious stuff in this video. The bloke who made it offers some very reasonably priced lessons too. An online lesson is only $750, or you could go for a package like this:

Somax Level IV Golf Training Program—($42,000) ultimate training program for the golfer who has everything but the flexibility he needs to shoot lower scores

Sign me up. I need more stability. An unstable swing never gets results!

Love their RSSSSSzzzSSSSAAAhhh (sounds like 50 shades of grey) system

A lot of rubbish in there, but to be fair the only other (good) golfer I've seen with their hands on the swing plane at address was Mo Norman, and some of the stories about his accuracy are mind-boggling.

I must say that if I had seen Rory's swing without knowing who he was I would have said that it's the type of long flowing swing that is likely to prove to be inconsistent, especially under pressure. I think that the fact that he can hit it so incredibly consistently with this kind of swing is down to his natural ability & timing. It will be interesting to see whether he has any more slumps like he did at the time the video came out.

A few years ago I watched Reteif Goosen close up and you got the impression with his swing that there was nothing to go wrong. With Rory's, there seems to be potential for lots to go wrong.

I liked it in the video where, at one point, they were saying his swing was bad because it is like Hogan's and later said it was bad because it isn't like Hogan's!

When he first came on tour I said he had the best swing I had ever seen.
I have seen nothing to change my mind.
If he doesn't break Jack's record, I'll eat Smiffys hat

If he stays fit then im very much inclined to agree with you

Do you think hes mentally strong enough?
Are we talking all Jacks wins worldwide, majors as you know Bob jack had a heluva
lot of 2nds as well.
Im in the other camp I don't think he will purely because theres so much depth
of talent today more than in Jacks day imo.
The other question is will his body hold out?

He's certainly not scared of winning.
I think he learned a lot at the Masters and he'll just get stronger.
He has the swing, the confidence and he's gaining experience with every win and he's only 25.
He may not win as many tour events as Jack because I think he will pace himself, he already has enough money to last him several lifetimes, so as long as he keeps his health he will probably cherry pick the top events and save himself for those.

The shot that made it for me was in the US Open 2011 last day at the 10th par 3 over water......potential disaster.....and he knocked it to 6 inches.

That one shot told me he was over Augusta.

It was certainly one of the best shots I've ever seen

What a load of crap....as much as I tried I couldn't get past 2min 37secs. (hopefully I didn't miss much)

What about his putting though ?

Does knock in a load of putts but at times seems to go a whole round without sinking much ?

McIlroy to take over Nicklaus's record. Where have we heard something similar. I hope McIlroy stays fit, keeps form and gets better but doesn't go looking for some holy grail and end up in the swing mess Woods is in
