I drunkenly decided to the Great North Run this year after watching a very moving presentation from the Lily Foundation at a do a while ago.
Well the year has flown and it's next month so I'm on the cadge for some donations to the charity
The link to my Just Giving page is below, it's currently sitting at £0 :mmm:

You can read more about the Lily Foundation here http://www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk a very very worthy cause you will agree.

Doesn't matter how little, anything and everything will be greatly appreciated.

One more question, I did the GNR in fancy dress in 2014, it nearly killed me but I had great fun. I'm struggling for inspiration should I decide to do it in fancy dress again this year. Any ideas?

Best of luck mate

Over 200 views and only a handful of donations?

Come on forummers let's try and smash Martyn's target.

Well the run is this weekend and my sponsorship total has risen slowly but surely, still could do with more obviously 😉
Training has gone kind of ok, lost a month due to football injuries but I'm certainly a lot fitter than i was 6 months ago. Beat my 1.3 mile time from back in May by 1 min 40 seconds the other day, no soreness the day after either.
Bring it on!

Good luck Martyn, i hope you give me a good run for my money [ donation]

Phew, that was HARD, did it in 2 hours 24 minutes which I was happy with but it hurt all the way.
Alan (Snell) managed to get a last minute entry and ran it in in 1 hour 57 which was good going, still a way to go to beat my PB though :D

Very large glass of wine now in hand and sore legs to boot.
