I bought one of these which arrived from China earlier in the week. £62 including VAT and delivery. Bargain.

It's bloody ace. Reliving my youth and working my way back through some absolute classics (and discovering some have not aged well at all )

That looks cracking, do you have to load the roms yourself or are they already on there?
I made a retro gaming system on a raspberry pi during lockdown, it reminded me how awful some of those old games were ?
Got an old Game Boy in the loft somewhere (purple buttons) with Zelda and Tetris cartridges ?

It comes pre-loaded with A LOT of games - but I had a bunch of roms from my Raspberry Pi - I also just got a new SD card and loaded a different (better, that someone has developed specifically for this device) OS onto it, which was super straight forward and took minutes. Then just pick and chose what Roms I added from the collection I had and the ones that came with it - but I've got approx 3-4000 games now, which should keep me busy. The PS1 games look amazing. Playing them on such a small device is taking some getting used to (with the button layout and trigger buttons on the back), but I'm loving it so far. Will be great for travelling and just picking up and playing when I get 10 spare minutes.

I'm keen to get a Switch as I'd really love to play Mario64 again as well as The Ocarina of Time (and the Breath of The Wild)

I've got a Pi with Retropie. Many of the old games are lame, but Mario Bros and Lode Runner are idiotically addictive.

I got a Switch OLED and you need the Switch Online subscription with expansion packs (£35 annual) to get the N64 pack.

It’s pretty good though, I have the N64 and the Mega Drive packs downloaded.

Mario Kart 8 with the expansion pack is awesome though, loads of old tracks like rainbow road have been remastered.

I need to get another setup connected in my game room, any recommendations of a cheap setup I can use? I gave away the Raspberry Pi to a young Ukrainian lad, can’t really ask for it back ?

I’d love a Switch purely for Zelda and Mario Kart but I can’t really justify it… can I… ?

Yes, yes you can. Especially Mario Kart 8 ?

Not a clue. I set up the Pi with Retropie and a Bluetooth pad for myself several years ago. Did another one for somebody connected to joysticks and buttons and built into a 70s style console table. All MAME games.
I've never done anything like it since and sometimes wonder how I managed to do those. I'm not really a computer person.

Couple of images that demonstrate the size and quality, for those that are interested (don’t all make yourselves known at the same time ?)

For me, it is so interesting to play all the games there, and I can take it with me wherever I go. But to be honest, I used to enjoy such games more a few years ago. Now I prefer something modern and with better graphics. Some time ago I also started playing casino games, slots the most often, and I can say that I like them even more. I also found this site https://gamblizard.ca/best-canadian-online-casinos/casino-payment-options/echeck-casinos/ which provided me a lot of info about casinos which accept eCheck and I found there one which seemed to be a good one. I've played there a few times and I really like it. I like such a payment method because it's a secure one, so if someone is also into gambling, that site is an informative one and worth attention.
I got the same console some time ago, and I really like it.
It was a little bit unusual at first to play it because the quality is not like in modern games, but now I'm used to it and just enjoy it.
I like that it's so small so I can take it everywhere with me and play when I have time and nothing else to do.
