Playing today at an open qualifying course in a 4 man team stableford 3/4 handicap comp today (maximum 24 handicap). Best 2 scores per hole count. What would be a realistic winning score in this format in normal course conditions, then what would be a realistic score in wet/windy conditions?
Thanks.

A very good score which should get you in the prizes is 86 and a winning score is 90.

(0 means that you achieve 5 points a hole which is a lot. We played last week and there was a score of 96!!!!

You also need to bear in mind what you handicaps are eg if 4 are playing off 24 you will all lose the equivalent of 6 shots but if you were all of 6 you would each receive 5 shots and SHOULD improve the score.

In very windy conditions 76 and 80.

Good Luck

In the charity day last Thursday team gm scored 84 points and that was about average. High eighties would put you in for a high finish and 96 won. You are probably looking at over 85 to be in with any chance

At our place you need to be looking at 90 or so which is 5 points a hole. The last big one I played in was won by 100 points

In poorish conditions I would think to are going to need around 85 or so to stand a chance!

Played in the Skegness North Shore festival week last week. There were two 100 points scores - in very high winds.

In the charity day I was in recently the winning score was 106, yes they were all bandits with unofficial 28 handicaps. The best genuine score was 94 and was shot by the ex junior pro at our club and his team. The ex junior pro plays off scratch and shot 6 under par.

we had 1 saturday and the winning score was 92 (20under) we finished with 83 and finished 5th they was 87 86 85 an then us
