Reading Greens

I'm not getting into the justification of it with anyone on here as Aimpoint has been discussed many times before. There are a lot of fads in golf, but what you believe is, may not be for someone else. If I took note of each individual's opinion on this forum then I'd not get anywhere as I'd be doing the Bradley 2 step. Some believe that TM is the best golf equipment, some don't, i tried the LOFT UP SLDR and don't hit it any further then the 275 ave i get with my own driver and it's shorter, but at least I tried it. I could go on but how do you know if something is a fad or not, if you don't find out or try for yourself.

Fair point, but still I doubt he would use it to simply endorse it.

I'm also not saying I will use it, but I'm kind of open to any ideas that may well help my game.

Oh I'm sure he is using to try and find some thing to get working - they all try something when things aren't going great

Aimpoint is a method that you pay for - as rich has said if it's that good then a lot more than a very small handful would use it. It will fade away as with other fads that have been around.

Have a look on the net - I'm sure there are vids showing it

But nothing will beat practice

Exactly.

I think when you see Bubba's swing you wonder how the guy has won 2 masters, hell even Nicklaus questioned his swing, then you have Adam Scott's swing which is supposedly the best swing in the game according to some experts, yet he has won only 1 master.

I personally would never say any method is right or wrong, just what works best for you. Go through life with a closed mind and you could miss out on something wonderful. Here endeth the lesson. ;)

Stacey Lewis. #1 in the ladies game. Aimpoint user!

As always say the word Aimpoint and the ones who have never used it, never will, all come on and say its a fad, doesn't work, too expensive, too slow and hundreds of other comments all negative. I wonder if any of them ever had the balls to actually give it a go would still think the same. Easy to knock something you haven't tried.

Huge exaggeration. Makes no valid point. Cost £90 for 2 1/2 session and the chance to go back at any time to repeat it as a refresher. Hardly the end of the world but hey, lets not let facts get in the way. Express even cheaper btw

Pick a website that encourages dialogue. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, IMDB, Forums.

Same behaviour on every single one. Either people want to suck the joy out of other people's life, or they have closed minds and refuse to accept that the world is full of opinions and its those opinions which encourages development.

Who's to say that something is a complete waste of money if they haven't actually wasted money on it. A teacher once said to me if a single person in their class became a better person because of their teachings, then that is worthwhile them teaching.

Put these same discussions in a real world social environment, and you can turn down the argumentative attitude and cynical comments.

In the meantime, if I want to waste £99 on a training method I god damn will, and I won't feel bad about it. Christ I wasted more on 2 dates earlier this year. In fact I almost want to drop the cash on this thing, just out of spite.

No point debating. You aren't even prepared to accept simple facts and just looking for a cheap shot.

Not really, you two would be better off being less evangelical. Snap hook on the other thread specifically mentioned he wasn't interested in aim point, but you still mentioned it why??

You're like a missionary flogging Christianity to the natives, but we're happy sacrificing metaphorical virgins.

It's a fad, just like s&t, you won't be doing it in two years, linear boy:thup:

In the clubhouse I would still be telling you to stop asking questions and get out there and play some golf. It's a hobby enjoy it instead of looking at every single stat possible. Just have some fun reading greens and enjoy whacking the ball about. Practice is the only thing that will bring consistency and better golf.
