As a supporter since the early 70's,i would just like to say what a great performance by the boys last night.Liverpool are getting all the publicity for being so poor, but our performace belied a team 4th from bottom of the Championship, caretaker manager, and with a team full of inexperienced kids.

Also was that not the coolest penalty, taken by a youngster,in the last minute of normal time.He appeared not to look at the ball, only the goalkeeper !

Totally agree about Liverpool. How many of their players about from Torres and Gerrard would get into even a mid table premiership team ? When they went off,i fancied our chances.

Burnley next round Rich. Are the memories still as fresh as when we beat you and went into the premiership. Dont think we'll be here long though. On last nights performance you stand a very good chance of progressing,especially on our away form. May the best team win. {BURNLEY}

As long as you don,t score any more wonder goals ! One of my golf mates is a Burnley supporter, and i knew i should have given him more stick when we were doing well. Until last year all he had was memories of Ralph Coates and Martin Dobson !!

Should be a good game, although a win for our boys will not let you off the hook for last season.

Should be back in Division 2 next season where they belong next season, large wages, empty white elephant stadium....time for Madjeff to 'disappear'....

How do we get to relegated two divisions in one season ?

Doesn't it go Prem, Div 1, Div 2, Div 3, Vauxhall Conference, Various Non-League stuff, Scottish Football.....they still have football in Scotland don't they?

No,premiership, championship, division 1,division 2 etc.We are currently a healthy one place off the relegation zone in the championship!!

As a Fulham fan I enjoyed the fact that our houdini act sent the Royals down but as I work in Reading I definitely didn't wear my Fulham shirt to work on the Monday.

I think you had your time in the sun and its a big rebuild job at the moment with a lot of the top earners having gone. Not sure if the caretaker guy you have in charge is good enough to get you back up (assuming you avoid relegation). At best I think play offs every season is your target and I can't see it for a while.

That said you did play well in the first game although I thought you were holding on for much of the game yesterday after Liverpool scored. Good finish with the penalty and a great header to win it. To be fair though Liverpool were rubbish throughout the tie

LFC are not in good shape (as much as it hurts) and I wonder what has gone so horribly wrong. Quite why they took R.B. on such a long contract is odd, it's gonna cost them to make a change at manager level. However, I think it might be other factors.....

Disappointed, yes, but then again, I've come to expect the unexpected from Liverpool......{BURNLEY}....... :) :D

I don't blame Fulham for our relegation, rather Pompey for obviously taking a backhander.Must be careful not to mention Harry's name, whoops. If the tax man finds the money will we get our place back ? I play a course in Hampshire, and the majority of members are Pompey supporters. Our Pro is even a season ticket holder, but he is not so chirpy these days!

We have a good crop of young players coming through the academy, but unfortunately they have been thrown into a struggling team.If we can stay up this season,i think we will be stronger next. The lad that scored the penalty has a sweet right foot, and may be the next to leave.

Must have had my RTG's on last night,as i thought we should have won in normal time, with the chances we had.If only we had Doyle up front and not the bean Pole !

Lol, said by somebody that doesn't have a clue.

He's won 1 game in 6. 4 of them being 1-1 draws and one being a 4-1 thumping by Plymouth.

A win in a cup tie is hardly deserving of a job. Reading want to concentrate on staying in the league more than anything x
