Having seen this on the PGA Tour a few weeks ago I thought it would be interesting to do the same on here.

The Pro's were told to rate themselves on various aspects of their game, just like a school teacher! So here's mine:-

Driver = D
Irons & Fairway Woods = C+
Short Game (100yrds in) = A-
Bunkers & Recovery = C-
Putting = A-
Handicap = 11 (The Pro's didnt do this!)

There's mine, whats yours? (A to F)

Driver = F
Irons & Fairway Woods = C
Short Game (100yrds in) = A
Bunkers & Recovery = A
Putting = B
Handicap = 4.6

I'm really not happy with my long game at the moment... although being fair it's only the driver and 3 wood which are a serious problem now. My irons are getting much much better now.

Driver = D
Irons & Fairway Woods = C
Short Game (100yrds in) = B
Bunkers & Recovery = C
Putting = B
Handicap = 18

I feel my whole game an be improved. It's just a case of time and practice. I WILL get there!

not been a good year for me, but getting better at the min

Driver = F
Irons & Fairway Woods = B
Short Game (100yrds in) = B
Bunkers & Recovery = C
Putting = C
Handicap = 11.7

Driver = C
Irons & Fairway Woods = A-
Short Game (100yrds in) = D
Bunkers & Recovery = C
Putting = B+
Handicap = 7

Doesnt take a genius as to where the work on my game is being spent, arguably though the issues are far more mental than technical

Driver = B
Irons & Fairway Woods = B
Short Game (100yrds in) = C
Bunkers & Recovery = C
Putting = C
Handicap = 6

Basically, if I'm on an off day with the long game I'm struggling to put a score together normally.

No time to practice though so hey ho.

Driver = b+
Irons & Fairway Woods = b
Short Game (100yrds in) =c
Bunkers & Recovery = a-
Putting =b
Handicap = 5.8

my driving is usually my strongest point but of late it's been a bit wayward an for that reason i couldn't give myself an a.my irons and short game(100yrds in) can be very good but it's normally hot and cold and the same goes for my putting.

Driver = B
Irons & Fairway Woods = B
Short Game (100yrds in) = C
Bunkers & Recovery = C
Putting = B/C depending on the day
Handicap = 9

Now working on mental side to come up with the goods more consistently... I think that's what causes errors rather than flawed technique.

Driver = B
Irons = B Fairwaywoods = E
Short Game (100yrds in) = C
Bunkers & Recovery = B
Putting = B
Handicap = 9

Rubbish with fairway wood off the ground, use the long irons , rest of game going decent enough ,

Driver = B
Irons = B
Fairwaywoods = B
Short Game (100yrds in) = D
Bunkers & Recovery = B
Putting = A-
Handicap = 7.6 (note scores given are against what I think I should be doing against for my handicap, not against scratch or better)

Brendy is a chatty boy in class and should be paying more attention to the ball than ze Hooozle when hitting his half wedges. Driving is pretty good only having the occasional off day. long irons and putting are almost as remarkably good as his half wedges are bad. My ability to scramble and chip are the main reasons I have been cut this year though, no such thing as an uneventful round with my scoring.

Long Irons C
Short Game B+/A-
Bunker play B+
Putting B/B+
Course Management B/C+

Teachers report:

AAC seems to pay atttention in class but fails to turn theory into practise on the course, needs to concentrate more as he appears easily distracted by the naughtier boys, he visits the course tuck shop too much and constantly seems to be giving his pocket money to the other boys he plays with.

AAC is a nice boy but needs to man up and play better next year, otherwise teacher recommends crown green bowling.

Overall a popular boy but needs to concentrate more.

Swearing - A*
Club Throwing - C - a marked step backwards from last year.
Club Snapping - E - Only 1 this year.
Losing Gracefully - F - Show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser.
19th Hole Antics - B - Been better but still impressive!

Handicap = 5

EZ can be A+ standard in every category on a good day (bar putting where he can get to a B+), but unfortunately too often one or two subjects let him down in his tests. His bad grades are slowly getting less and less bad, however I would like to see him stop being so hard on him self when he gets a bad mark.

I'm an all rounder in some sense, but rely on good putting to keep my scores down.

Now i've sorted my clubs out and i'm back to playing as much as I used to when I was a junior I will hopefully improve those grades.

Ash!!
