R11 competition

having read what Jon posted its fairly straightforward, you simply have to have been on the forum for six months And have posted at least 150 posts.

So if you've been on longer than 6 months but only posted 149 posts your out.
If you've been on 1 month but posted 500 posts your out too.

Yes. That's it in a nutshell.

I will add - exceptions CAN/WILL be made (all decisions by me are final) if I deem them fit. It's my club so it's my decision and I can do what I want ;).

My basic premise is that I want to make it open to as many people as possible but ensure that I know it's going to a good home. I will post a full list of entrants after the closing time. I apologise in advance if you feel like you are singled out if you don't get entered, but as I've stated previously, I'm giving this to someone for free and it's paramount that I know it's going to a good home and the gesture will be upheld and it passed on in the same way if the new owner doesn't get on with it.

So apologies if it seems like favouritism, it's not, I just want to be certain. It's my club so my decision is final. It should also be noted that begging won't help your case.

For example of exceptions - Steviep, although only 111 posts, I know is a stand up bloke, having been paired with him and his nephew at St. Pierre and having been invited down by him to play at Celtic Manor (his home course) any time. So in that case, he's in.

I will post a list of entrants up on a separate thread after the closing date and will make the draw shortly afterwards. If I feel like you deserve an entry, I will enter you. I hope it doesn't seem like I'm being a total knob about this!

Any other queries, post them in here and I will try and answer them.

well in that case.....

"I love white drivers"

by the time the draw is done I'll be 'officially' 6 mths albeit actually longer in reality

Darth, you're another example. 1600 posts since august is erm...well...well done! ;)

You've got stuck in and have solidified yourself as a forum regular in that time. (plus you were registered before).

As far as i am aware this R11 was custom fit to your swing? Well I have seen a video of your swing, and going from that this driver deffo wont suit my swing, therefore Im out! :ears:

:D knob!

Fear not entrants, we didn't have the whole motion capture swing, it was merely set up (and were given the correct of the two lofts) to get the most out of it using our swing. Can easily be tweaked.

Everything on it is stock.

well if I count as qualifying then I love white drivers too :)

At least with the shafts you can swap if needed.

Thanks Jon, just to add then, "I love white drivers" :)

Right Gents, the time ha come, unfortunately, for the R11 to be removed from the bag. Since being given the Wentworth opportunity and the R11 by GM earlier this year, its been bad and good but never consistent. I've lost all confidence and since demoing other drivers over the last week or so, it's become clear that I'm just not good enough to do it justice.

So...since I was lucky enough to be given this club free of charge, it's only right that it's passed on without charge to its new lucky owner, so I'm giving it away free of charge (postage may be applicable) to one lucky forumer.

If you are interested in having my R11 all you need to do is reply to this thread using the phrase "I love white drivers" and I will enter you into the prize draw.

There are a few conditions to be eligible to enter. Reasons for this are that these opportunities given by GM are unique and not everyone is lucky enough to have done one and there are forum stalwarts who have been here sometime but not had the chance. So you will not be entered if;

- you have previously been selected by MikeH/GM for a "money can't buy" opportunity.
- you aren't yet an 'established' forum member. This is basically if you've been here less than 6 months and have less than 150 posts. Apologies if this includes you but this forum is what it is because of the people that take part and get stuck in. I really want to make sure I know this is going to a good home to be used and not sold on for profit. Hope that makes sense.

Driver spec: TaylorMade R11, 9deg stiff stock Fujikara Blur shaft.

Entry closes 31st December 2011 and the winner will be drawn by me (drawn from my Mizuno hat probably!) sometime in the first week of the new year and announced onthe forum and via PM.

It should be noted that this draw is not related or affiliated with GM in anyway and is being offered by me so someone else can benefit from GMs continued generousity.

Best of luck to everyone who enters!

Edit: I should also note, whoever the lucky winner is, they must agree to pass this club on, free of charge if thy don't get on with it or upgrade in the future. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES must any profit be made from this at any time.

i love white drivers and i could do with a new one!my 07 burner driver is looking worse for wear!haha. but its good people are in the festive spirit. you dont fancy a burner driver for swap do you?haha

I love white drivers.

Hopefully - sort of struggling with mine but as has been said if it's no good it'll be back on here with the same giveaway deal.
Good to see there are still generous people out there.

I love white drivers

well actually I wouldnt know as never tried one, seeing as I dont get on with mahoosive headed ones then the slightly smaller r11 may well suit. If I am the one chosen & it does suit me then I would happily pass on my Nike VR FOC as a reciprical offer :)

Aztecs

I 'REALLY' LOVE WHITE DRIVERS, well to be honest just love the R11 with a stiff shaft @ 9deg loft.

It will go really well with my R11 3Wood and 2011 Rescue both with Stiff shafts.

I was fitted for one before Xmas, I came out to the same spec as you. Must be our dodgy swings :)
In the hope the wife would get it me, instead I got a really nice Watch (no white face)

Fingers crossed on the draw.

It'd be good if others used their nowse to the same level as you and passed freebies on they got, for nothing, even if people were to pay the postage. I've seen people sell vouchers and all sorts. The best had to be the used tee's on ebay.

BTW anyone need any re-sharpened wooden tee, touched up with tipex, like new, just a few mm shorter. LMAO:ears:
