Had a knock on Sunday and thought I'd try putting left below right. Surprisingly it didn't feel as strange as much as I expected.
Took to it very well and putted a lot better. I felt I had more control/stability of putter. In addition I seemed to commit more to the putts, and being right handed felt as though I had more feel with the right hand.
So what's others experiences with this method. Have you tried it and kept with it or gone back .

Tried it on the practise green and in a couple bounce games but couldn't get comfortable with it.

I struggled with pace from distance and didn't see any discernible improvement in holing out from closer in.

So I've gone back to normal. Where I struggle with pace and can't hole out from close in.

Tried it on a practise green once or twice but it feels terrible to me. Like trying to steer a car with your arms crossed.

I now use this for all putts from around 15ft in and hole far more than I used to do especially 3-5 footers that I had started missing a lot due to poor stroke/not starting ball on line.

Can't use it for longer putts tho and revert to conventional for those.

Levels the shoulders. I putt left low and my putting has improved no end. Like every change it takes a wee bit of bedding in.

I've putted like this for years but recently switched to the claw (Garcia) recently in an effort to try and get less yippy on long putts and have seen some success

I tried it, and struggled to take the club back square. I like the claw on my indoor putting mat, but not so much on the golf course. Conventional works best for me, unless i am yipping it, when i might as well just go home.

I have been left below right for around the last 7 years, a PP of mine was dynamite with the flat stick and putted left hand low, I wasnt putting well, so I gave it a go, and have putted that way since, feels very comfortable, no problem with getting the club back or through, I did find that a superstroke grip, albeit the thinest they do for putters beneficial. Changed to a Scotty this year with a Scotty grip and find it sits lovely and feels good in hand.
Would def recommend left hand low, and maybe try a few differing grips to find one that suits.

I putt left hand down, didn't take very long to get use to it and have done for many years.

Feels very strange now to putt right hand down and cant imagine ever going back to it.

Probably done this for a year now. It took about 2 months to settle on a grip. Once you have a comfortable grip it feels natural. I think a lot of people try it but they don't fiddle around with a grip for long enough. I had some shocking putting rounds when trying to get comfortable with it.

Since then my short putting is just unbelievable. I was terrible over them short ones but it's so much more secure and much easier to get the ball on line

I must admit that downhill tricklers and long putts haven't Improved. My pace on these is still quite poor as I do think you lose a bit of feel for the pace

I wouldn't change back though.

I have been putting with this grip for about 5 years. I was really rubbish at holing out for par, but this grip, coupled with a lesson which made me bend more so that my eyes were over the ball has left me confident and competant.

I dont putt left hand low so to speak, but i do putt left hand dominant. Its really hard to explain but ive been able to putt so much better since making the change. Its like a mixture between Claw and Left Low.

I have no idea how to picture that, sounds like a mess, haha.

I switched to it when i changed putters.

I wanted to change to a putter with a shaft that goes into the hosel to help with face aim, but my old putter had a soft insert and as id been using it for a decade i found i couldnt contol pace with a different face material.

I had to dissasociate and switch grip style to use the putter style i wanted.

I like it, gary player likes it. Helps keep shoulders level and forearms on plane. Only drawback back for me is it suits a straighter arc stroke than i like. I had no trouble adapting for pace.

I put left hand below, BUT, I'm left handed and play golf left handed, but put right handed with the left hand below. I used to put left handed but I felt more stable putting this way. When I was putting left hand below left handed I felt I was pulling the putter of line but this way round it feels so much smoother, controlled and stays on line. I think I actually put really well.
