OK..... I've been carrying Golf bags for 50 years. All the time, I have used "right handed" bags. This means I pick the bag up with my right hand, and the club heads are on my right side.

This means that I practice bringing my right shoulder "over the top" , when picking it up, my right shoulder is higher than my left shoulder when standing (because the bag sits that way, even with double straps), my dominant hand (right obvs) just hangs over my clubs, while my less dextrous hand (left) is used to get gloves, balls, drinks etc... from all the pockets that are on my left. For years, my lower back on the right aches whe I'm finished.

So I bought a "left handed" bag.

Now I stand with my left shoulder higher than my right like I do in an address position, I feel more natural keeping my right side "on the inside" - I don't struggle getting things out the pockets, and as if by magic, lower right back pain.... gone!!!

Are right handed golf bags really for left handed golfers?

My carry bags are all single strap.

I vary the bag position during a round:
Clubs forward right side, clubs forward left side, clubs backward right side, clubs backward left side.

My back still aches after a round, HTH. :)

Does all that shifting the bag position around make your back ache all over rather than in one place?
Asking for a ... no, can't get away with that this time.
