Sorry to bore you chaps, but the other night I asked you for comments on the Odyssey Sabertooth, and a few kind souls responded. Forget the Sabertooth - I've just been down to AG this afternoon to try out the Sabertooth models and the Manager said if I was looking at a face-balanced putter I should give the Ping iN Wack-E a go. Well, although it looks a tad strange for a died in the wool anser man like me, I couldn't miss on the carpet thingy. Nothing short of spectacular, and the lie is quite flat which suits me. Tried a few others out (Scotty, Taylor Made, Wilson) - not in the same class. With regard to the forumer who said that Odyssey's were slightly closed - spot on, absolutely agree.
I can feel a purchase coming on. Good job I have £100 in the Pro Shop - if HID thought I was buying another putter she'd go bananas.

Hi mate,
I probably didnt reply to your other post but if you can id maybe try get one of them putters out on the grass in an open area.....
I find that when on those indoor green thingysn that there a little formal and i feel like your kind of sheparded to the hole like its hard to miss......

A putter choice is a very personal thing and alot is what suits the eye at times more than the actul performance.

But then i might be talking complete twaddle.... :D

Odyseys, closed? That'll be me.

Have always found this. My Dad has about 20 putters in his garage, various models, various styles. I can pick out any of them, and they all sit square, until I get an Odessey, and it turns closed the moment my grip relaxes.

If you want a mallet, face ballanced (ish), try a Scotty red X. Top putter.
