Push trolleys

Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. I imagine they're all much of a muchness with the more expensive bad boys using better quality materials and ball bearings!

I am often wrong though!

but i had no cover, so did end up with a dirty boot.

I just saw a comment on a customer review that didn't like the cover. He felt he had to turn the cart over to get the cover on and his boot got a bit mucky...

I use one of those builders soft buckets to put my trolley in at the end of the round... Saves messing around with bags, wheelcovers etc... Can clean the trolley at my leisure, at home, rather than mess around post round when the bar beckons...

I have a powakaddy twinline 3 and it is bomb proof, not light or very compact when folded but it will last though. If you are on a budget I have just picked up a Slazenger 3 wheel cart of sports direct ebay shop, brand new for £8.99 + £.99 P&P, perfect for my old man who trundles around his local 9 holeronce every 2 weeks or so

I might just wait for that to come out before taking the plunge, as the 3.0 may be getting given away as people will want the 3.5. I really just can't see which is the better trolley, the girlfriend says get the clicgear as it looks nicer. I must say it looks fantastic in green. Most people would say it is horrific but those that know me know that when it comes to golf the louder the better.......:whoo:

I have the Clic gear 3.0 in green and I like it alot. When I had my chest infection made gettign around the course so much easier. My course is also pretty hilly in places :D

I have had white clicgear 3.0 for a couple of years. No issues at all - good quality build.
It took me a while to get used to pushing a big trolley after pulling an old trombone trolley.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend although I do think a small bag would get a bit lost on it.

Looked at the powakaddy, but like you said it is not very compact when folded, as it folds up lie the old school trolleys. Due to my car I do need a compact trolley or it means dropping the back seats down all the time. I certainly think it is between the clic or Stewart due to how small they fold down and also the fact that they have all the accessories that can be added. Just a case now of going down the shop and actually seeing them in the flesh before I make the choice. Unless someone else can give me an alternative option that meets everything the Stewart and Clic offer.

Adey - Twinline 3 folds down about as small as it can get, especially if you take the wheels off.
If I can get a trolley bag and PKTWL3 in the boot of a C3 + shoes, etc etc etc then it goes pretty small....What car have you got?

They are great if you only play flat courses but to be honest, if you ever play anywhere hilly I would stick with an electric one and use the money to buy a 2nd battery for when you play 36 hole events.

If you want compact have a look at the Sun Mountain Micro Cart, its a good cart and folds really small.

I use the BigMax IQ which I find excellent. No problem at all to fold up or down and is really solid and folds down to fit into any car boot.

Looks pretty similar to the clicgear.

It also folds down with the wheels on but is obviously slightly bigger
