I played today and pulled almost every iron shot i hit. How can this be stopped or even minimised to 1 or 2 at most during a round? Weird thing was that my woods and wedges were brilliant, they went exactly where i aimed them which just confused me a bit more. So if anyone has any tips or advise it would be appreciated.

Had exactly the same problem yesterday. Missed everything left on the frnot nine and then pushed them on the back. Hit some balls this morning and moved it fractionally further back (about 1/2 a ball) and was nailing them.

Bloody hell thats where i would play a long iron maybe even a 5 wood from :D. Thanks for the tips guys looks like i need to play the ball slightly more back in my stance.

Does putting the ball too far forward open your shoulders by any chance as i think i sometimes have open shoulders too?

Pull sometimes means too much right shoulder getting into the swing. Pull ball back a bit and try to restrain shoulder movement.

You could contrast Robert Rock with Paul Azinger, who played everything way back in the stance. Different strokes etc.
