Proudest Golfing Moment

Getting my first point for the RAF at the interservices by beating the Navy no. 1 on the 17th in front of both teams, winning the club champs at RAF Bruggen and passing my PGA playing test to turn pro. My dad would have been proud.

Breaking 100 for the first time, hitting 3 birdies, more than 40 stableford points and beating my mate for the first time all in the same round! Nothing special as comps but was the first round when everything clicked into place and felt like a proper golfer!

3 sub-par rounds on 3 different courses, all 71's on par 72's.
Winning a best gross prize in a medal.
Making 5 birdies on the front 9 at The Grove in the GM Powerplay event.

Chipping in at Blackmoor in front of a GM gallery that didn't think I would even be able to stay on the green!! :)) I kight not have showed it but it made me happy!!

Strange that that was one of my worst moments in golf, as now I have to hear about it every time we play.:p:lol:

Beating my Pro by one shot today over 8 holes. Shot 1 over gross. Not bad for 20 hcp ;-) Mind you he hadn't played in a while.

Still a good feeling though.

Shot a 73 gross at Withington GC this year, my best ever score. Holed a 25 footer for par on the 9th and at that point had played the front in 2 under gross, not dropping any shots. Knowing I was on for my best ever round, Ihit a drive and an 8 iron to 6ft to birdie the 18th aswell.

Winning our family golf society after 7 years of trying.Winning our clubs 36 hole competition with gross scores of 83 and 85 and getting my first big h/c cut to 18.
Getting my one and only eagle.

Winning the first comp I played in as a kid.

Dad was golf mad and worked hard to get me in as a junior member at the course where he had been an artisan member before the war. I was round in 83 gross - a PB - to win the h/cap cup (and 2nd best scratch). The look on Dad's face when he came to collect me and I told him I'd won was priceless.

Also won a board comp with another PB (76 gross) and the "Victor Ludorum" ("Golfer of the Year" effectively) at my current club a few years back.

Winning a pairs competition with my dad at Aylesbury Vale GC - it was his first, and only 'major' competition win and it was a very proud moment for both of us.

Shooting a 69 for the first and, probably, only time.

Winning the net and gross Club Championship at AVGC in the same year - the first time it had ever happened at the club.

get the most satisfaction from beating my closest friends in bounce games but I suppose that is a different thread...

proudest: winning the county under 16 (gross and handicap) was playing off 14 at the time and shot 3 over with the conditions very hard and all the scratch or better players blew up. Got to represent the county the next day as well. Made better by the fact my grandad walked the back nine with me which i played in -1.

Hole In One...14th at The Manor in Drighlington. 5 wood, into the wind, 2 hops and in she went.

Winning the Eclectic 2 years on the bounce at The Manor.

Winning the Bennett Valley (Santa Rosa, California) Championships in my first year there.

Playing with Smiffy in the forum meet against Ping and we made a ½point to seal the win for GM. I've never achieved anything with a partner before and Smiffy really is a top bloke. To see his game come together was great to watch and it was a privilege to be there both with him and for GM.

winning the junior club champ at age of 15

also knocking the putt in from 35ft for birdie in front of a massive crowd in the junior county 5 man team to force extra holes to finally win on 2nd extra hole

Yes fat boy I was there to witness your game that day, well I was in front of you until you lost a few holes. My best moment of that day was standing waiting on your group come down the 18th where you proceeded to unzip your trousers & have a piss in the middle of the fairway in full view of the clubhouse, pure classic it was:whoo::whoo:

:whistle::whistle::cheers:
