Just had a video call with my son and grandson in Qatar.
The young one is 9 years old and having been to the Qatar Masters he became hooked on golf.
Five weeks ago he had his first lesson having joined the Junior Programme at Doha GC and as well as his lessons he has been playing with his Dad on the Academy Course.
This morning on the sixth hole, 71 yards off the Juniors tee, he hit his PW , flew the bunker in front and you can guess the rest.
Hole in one! After playing for only five weeks.
Meanwhile Gramps here started playing in 1970 and I'm still waiting.
Still feeling rather proud of the lad.
