I know about Scott Gourlay (limited range of kit) over in Edinburgh and Titleist (only Titleist shafts obviously) fitting centre nearer east coast but is there a good one in the West that anyone knows about that take time and effort to properly custom fit a driver?

Happy to pay for a good fitting as I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and you reap the rewards on the course

from what ive heard no, i know thecraw is going east thursday to be fitted. im going the route of a pro with titleist bag of heads and shafts. i tried looking for one but no avail

yes I thought so Bigslice, seems like some excellent set ups down south, looks like I'll have to head East young man

i believe if you can afford it then get the best for you (everthying cars clothes women). after reading the precision golf thread thats what i would go for but not working just now. you should wait to here how thecraw gets on. im sure he will give an honest review of the service and outcome.

I am near Fort William and have to go to Inverness for equipment. The pro's at The Loch Ness Golf Club are great and are a regional fitting centre for Mizuno as well as a good selection of other brands. Worth the 180 mile round trip.

yeah the craw is going to see scott gourlay and to be honest from what i've heard he is the best.a lot of pro's use him so that can't be bad.

he will source you any shaft,it won't necessary be a project x but what will work best for you.

Only ones I have heard of is the Wilson Staff place in Irvine (I think) and Taylormade have a new fitting centre at Turnberry. Limits your options to single brands though

Was at the driving a range tonight and was given a name and number of someone who has track man and is based in Irvine, will let you know once I call him, but my source said he could set it up at our own practice area ????
Not sure if he has all clubs but Vega was a name mentioned.

Massive range of shafts....

I hope to have Scott scratching his head come 1400 on Thursday!

If he can fit thecraw he's a bloody good club fitter! The challenge has been set.
