Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

Just came up with a bit of a theory / conspiracy. Scottie Scheffler is some sort of robot / cyborg.

Think about it, if the tech was possible, it is a great way to make a ton of money. And, as an American designer, you'd make the cyborg tall, comic book square jawline and make him a big Christian. All American guy, all American values.

However, the signs are clear that he isn't a real human:

  1. His personality
  2. The tech isn't super advanced yet in replicating the complexity of the muscles and joints in the feet and ankles. So, to maximise the output of his golf swing, his feet have to move around like Wayne Sleep
  3. Robots do not age. So, to maximise his longevity in the game, they just designed him to look around 35-40 years old. Sure, he looks like a really old kid coming through, but doesn't look weird in 2040. Worse if they designed him to look 18, and he still looked the same in 20 - 25 years
:ROFLMAO:

I couldn't believe he is only 28. Has the personality of a tin of magnolia paint and all you can really say is great player, World No 1. Conversation dries up after that.

This applies to so many golfers though. Tiger Woods stands out straight away and he is obviously one of the best of all time. Before Woods extra curricular activities came to the fore, what else was there to say about him that was different to your description of Scheffler?

Seems a decent enough guy though, not everyone has to be a personality.

Sometimes people need to see that everyone is different

Steve Davis was called boring for years but away from the sport was different

Scheffler seems a bit like him - but more a quiet type

When watching him im more interested in his golf ability

Can't think of many golfers with much personality tbg. Bhatia, Mickleson, Dechambeau?
The vast majority are robots and have been for ages

Homa, Thomas, Fowler. Koepka if you count moodiness. 😁 On that note, Hatton as well. Plenty of top golfers show their personality I would say.
I think there are more DP players who are interesting to watch, playing both bad and well who let you know how its going. It seems more of a US thing to keep everything in check and not show any weakness

If he has an invite, why not?
If Grant plays, the sponsors will get a lot of eyes on their banners.
That's what the sponsors care about, nowt else.

Fair play to him, why be a journeyman Korn ferry player when you can make more on YouTube.
Might backfire though if he comes dead last.
