Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

Wonder how much of this is down to the new guy who has come in and taken over from GN ?

Going to be some interesting developments

Got to find a way to get players playing together again
Personally, suspect these things were a long time in discussion so unrelated to the personnel change - but we'll likely never know.

Also suspect there's a few deleted forum accounts that stated this kind of change would never happen ...

It will be interesting to see the direction of LIV

They have it seems reached the level of their big signings and Rahm and Co at the moment appear to the last

So what happens when the originals are coming to end of their contracts

It seems that you now need to pay for the LIV app so are they now starting to monetise things because the income streams do need to increase

Still see at some point once a deal is done with PGAT that there will be these Worldwide big money events funded by PIF with the best from LIV and other tours playing against each other

It will. Yeah could shorten PGAT, LIV, & DPWT seasons a bit, and via their end of season rankings have some combined events for the top ranked (& lots of debate about the numbers from each 😅)

On the contracts piece, were you meaning LIV removing players due to ending, or players leaving?

Guess the other consideration is some higher players who don't have past winner major exemptions previously may have been staying put, but could reconsider.

If the players want it to be a world game then it’s time they played around the world

Entry into worldwide events will prob be on money lists in each tour and also winners of recent events etc

And what will happen to players when their contract runs out - I don’t think they will get new ones and it will be the same as the other tours - earning their place on their respective tour

Thought it was going to get a bit squeaky for Detry when others were getting close.. What a back 9 though.... To put it stone dead on 16 and then birdie 17 and 18..classy..

Birdie on 15 too.

His closest contenders got within 3 and started to breath down his neck, but he just put his pedal to the floor and birdied every hole on the way home. Very impressive display from someone who had never closed out a win before.

Are you saying that one of the most vocal members of the forum has deleted their previous nom de plume, and their earlier posts cannot now be easily found?
Ha ha, no. Only someone like a legendary youtuber could suggest that 😉

As the wise Rafiki says "it doesn't matter, it's in the past" 🦁

Woods has withdrawn from the Genesis. (Although owgr still showing him in the field)
He withdrew during the 2nd round last year. Obviously some additional circumstances this year.
Probably just the 4 majors this year at most do we think?
