Problem with Howdidido?

My handicap cut after winning a comp a fortnight ago put me down to 16.8 handicap. Played in a medal yesterday, shot 93, so one outside the buffer. Just got an email from Howdidido saying my handicap is now up to 17.2?! How on earth did that happen?

It was 72 but surely that doesn't matter because you can only go up 0.1 at a time!

I don't know the answer to this but am having similar problems. I should have had a 0.8 cut on Tue and then the same again yesterday so total of 1.6 but its only come down 1.4.

I think its right but I think the H/C that I was told I had prior to Tuesdays meday (I believed I was on 10.2) should actually have been 10.4

Not sure where the error has come from and trying to get to the bottom of it myself.

I'll be checking the master handicap list on the notice board to see if its just a mistake on howdidido. If its on there as well I'll have to ask further.

HDID only shows the information supplied by your club as far as I am aware. I would check with the comp\h'cap secretary

It's really that simple. HDID can only take the info the club send to it. Problem is at the club and not with HDID.

The only true record of your handicap is that kept by the club.

Our hdid updates have been very inconsistent of late. Last year you could almost set your clock by the weekly updates this year the results have been coming through sporadically, some results just haven't appeared.

Last two results posted were the two Wednesday sweep. Nothing about the Saturday medal in between.

Check on HDID to ensure that all the comps were sent. Your Handicap history should make any issue obvious.

At the risk of repeating myself, check with your club

The problem here is not always the person at the club but the way the clubs software is set up.

The results are automatically published (uploaded) every time someone at the club either closes a competition or prints the competition results. So, if for some reason the person at the club decides to even view the results from an old competition, they get re-published and can therefore be "out of order".
