I thought both Poulter and Gallagher were well below the standards they set but I would still pick Poulter before Sunday. Not so sure about Gallagher though

I think more credit needs to be given to reed and speith who played quite superbly today and never gave poulter and gallacher a chance. Sure they didn't play well but most of us have experienced matches that get away from us and the harder you try to chase it the worse it gets. Happened to me and I got completely thrashed in a match where I could barely muster a par..... went out the next day and shot 70 in a medal.
Good to see poulter playing in the morning and I hope Gallagher gets a chance in the afternoon. They'll come good!

McGinley was on a hiding to nothing with Poulter.
had to pick him as a wildcard based on previous Ryder cup form else he would have been battered by the press- however he has played like a spanner all year so really didn't justify a pick on form.
What he did in medinah was special but it shouldn't buy him a Ryder Cup free pass.
Perhaps playing with Rory tomorrow might help him - but he still has to play the shots he has failed to play all year.

Poulter looks much more fired up this morning and if he looks like winning this morning I'd expect him to play again this afternoon. I think Gallagher will be back out this afternoon, not sure who he will be paired with though, maybe Garcia?
