Poulter - Play him again before Sunday?

I agree with the tweeting. But a commentator should be able to say it as they see it, and not just pretend someone is playing well. As everyone can see he isn't, so the commentator just looks daft if they do not mention it. What are they supposed to do, pretend it is not happening?

Yep I agree. Just feels an edge to the comments from Monty and similar yesterday when Poults was playing...Darren says "he's struggling and it's not the Poulter we're used to in The Ryder Cup" which is a kinder way of saying he's playing a bit pants...

Bunker again...boo!

McIlroy swinging that driver smoothly now and even Poulter hit that better

Come on guys !!!

Yep you can hear the difference in what Clarke is saying to what Monty is saying

We know he isn't firing on all cylinders and Monty is saying it with of a bitter edge

This morning has been one of those horrible Ryder cup sessions where it feels like we're hanging on everywhere.
That bl**** bunker shot by fowler - damn him.

But then again I'd argue that Clarke's phrase was just a bland anodyne cliche ;) I suppose at the end of the day people will hear different things depending on their agenda and one persons fair comment is anothers slagging off.

But I'm sure we can all agree that we hope he keeps his new found form up for the next couple of holes. And then goes nowhere near the foursomes this afternoon.;)

He has done to much talking Poulter , before the event they even had a show about him , its not good to talk about yesterday or what you did years ago in his case because no one can keep repeating 5 birdies in a row to win every time they play

Correct - anyone who plays golf knows that.
But of course the media think they know everything about everything.

nevertheless I hope he birdies the last 4 holes today.

Boooooooommmmmm there is two in a row and back to all square

Pretty much sums it up.
Golf is a fickle game and he came into this lacking in form yet Theres still no way he was going to turn down the opportunity to put himself on a pedestal by making that programme.

I wonder what his team mates made of it all.

I think the difference with Poulter is that if you listen to say Rose or Rory, who is world number 1, they go out of their way to say it is a team game, they are just one part of the team etc etc. Where as Poulter, whilst he does not overtly say it, does try and cultivate the image of him being the main man, the postman, The Ryder Cup hero etc etc.

Which is fine if you back it up with actions. But as soon as you do not and play very poorly for most of the the 2 rounds then the haters will come out. As I have done. ;)

Going by what they all said in the programme they had no issues and all fully understood the impact he had at medina which was what the programme was mainly about.

His Ryder Cup record is worthy of being highlighted in a programme

Poulter's Poulter - whether it's The Ryder Cup or not. He's cocky and arrogant and if he was a Yank I'd really dislike him - but he's not, he's one of ours so he'll do for me :-)
