Off to Porto for 5 days on Friday for my 60th . Anyone know any hidden gems they can recommend? We are doing the Douro valley tour on Sunday , going to a beach restaurant on Monday in Foz . Apart from that, it’s about it . Oh Mrs wants to go to that old bookshop but I don’t

Porto is great, down at the river front where the famous bridge is you can walk over into Vila nova there is so many nice wee cafes, bars and restaurants

One thing I do remember was we went to the mouth of the Douro river.The old tram took us most of the way.It was a fantastic way to travel.
We watched the North Atlantic rollers coming in and the were tremendous viewing
