Playing off whites.....

Same for us too at our place. And again I echo your sentiments....although I'm glad not be playing our Par 5 6th off the whites all the time :)
Our 8th is the same, would be nice to be able to practise off them though!

I know, I've often thought of just taking an iron off the tee to replicate the same second shot.......but you're never really going to do that are you??

Nope, sometimes it's not distance though, it's the line off the tee, happens for us on 3 holes were it's a different tee box.

Aye good shout. Sometimes just a change of line completely changes a hole. Brings different trees into play for me to avoid
I enjoy finding them in comps😃

We came play off the whites at anytime with the restriction yellow'a on the first and the par 3's. In winter the whites are generally next to the yellows throughout the course.

We've got 5 tee boxes and can go off whichever we want.

Typically during the winter, we tend to play off the middle tee box (6454 yards), most comps (and our summer swindle) are played off the next tee back (6756 yards).
We play the major comps off the Black tees 7,100 yards)
Also use these when we want to get beat up and for our 4 major swindle comps ("Race to De Bar")
