Nope just HC and gross score, in theory it is the comp committee who are responsible for the rest.

Ive just bn informed it covered in 5a of our COC . In absence of sticker player must enter date aswell ..

We have bn using stickers so not many would have bn aware of it including me to be honest

Is that stil covered by rule 3.3b ?

DQ someone for not putting in a date seems rather harsh especially now that direct entry systems are now being used.

Is there a link or ref to that

5A - 5

Requesting Players to Provide Other Information on Scorecards
The Committee may request that players assist the Committee by completing scorecard related tasks that are the Committee's responsibility. The Committee must not apply a penalty to a player under the Rules of Golf if he or she fails to comply with these requests or makes a mistake in doing so, but the Committee may provide a disciplinary sanction for a player who fails repeatedly to comply with such a request. I had to DQ a player the other week his name was the only thing on the card (apart from the score).

Found 3 cards with just scores on under my wiper blades beginning of the week, yesterday someone I didn’t recognise or know his name asked me when he could expect to see his handicap, my initial response didn’t go down to well but I did get a free pint after he’d settled down.

I had a supplementary score submitted a while back. All the hole scores were there, and Player A name was simply down as Steve. No other information was included, not even the marker name. Currently, getting quite a few supplementary cards and cards for initial handicap. Driving me mad when players hand in scores and it is impossible to tell whose score on card is meant to count, especially when I find out later it is the Marker's score that was the one they wanted to count, not Player A.

Can I ask who you should report to if you believe your club are not applying handicapping correctly?
Since we returned to comps we have had to mark our own cards and deposit them into a bin bag. I noticed that a few people hadn’t returned their cards but when the official result was published they weren’t included so never received the 0.1 back.
I emailed the club to notify them however they took no action. It has happened again on last week’s competition so it seems if you don’t want the 0.1 you just don’t return your card.

As the club have took no action is the next step to notify the county or England golf?

The guy who does ours was willing for me to email the cards via pdf for my handicap after lockdown to avoid having to worry about covid

Surely that sort of thing could be another way to do things ...quick photo of fully signed sealed card and email to the comps email
