ping i200's

No doubt they will look different in the flesh and in the hand.
I fail to see what a club manufacturer is to do with new models....to garish and people complain, to similar and people complain. At the end of the day, all golf clubs looks very much the same.
Hitting a ball with them will tell you if you like them or not:)

This.

Up for some new irons this year, will go and try a bundle to see which work best, but for looks, I like these, but they need to be better than my G15's.

I never understand why people are so concerned about what a club looks like. What they perform like should be far and away the most important criteria.

I'm sure a lot more confidence comes from hitting it well than the way it looks. Usually the best looking irons are forged blades but they're a bugger to hit.

Interesting... I had a set of i20s Weights dropped out the back regularly. After a period of me playing with clubs missing as they were on the way to and from Gainsborough our Pro rang up and got a bit shirty.... a brand new set of i25s arrived along with an apology.

That was a little while ago now and these have been as good as gold.

Assuming i200s are the latest incarnation, I wonder if these are worth a look... I'll see if any appear in the shop!

I will be moving away fromPING and never going back.

PING are like an ugly old girlfriend that sounds horrific is a bit fat, Always preformed well but is just boring and uninspiring

keep em

The weights fell out of three of my i25 irons too as a matter of interest. I found them each time and just superglued them back in. Fine after that.

ho ho... a set of irons used to be 9 clubs... then 8, now 7. They have convinced us that we couldn't possibly make do with "an ordinary" SW... and the seven clubs cost double what nine did not so long ago...

.......mugs........................................................................... now, where can I get a demo???

Local range had the heads in today, they are definitely on the chunky side of things.

Not sure I'd like them but will reserve final judgement until I see one shafted up.

Liking the look of the new Glide 2 wedges but the i200's just not doing it for me.

Quite happy that I went for the G's.

well...I have a set on Order after a fitting today! 4-U Modus shafts seemed to be best for me. AWT too high, KBS hated the feel, real clicky, Modus was real nice, first time I have ever tried that shaft. Distance was only 3 or so yards longer than my current iron (RSI TP), but that is due to the 1 degree stronger lofts I assume. The dispersion was so good though.

Also going to get a couple of Glide 2 wedges, 54 SS & 58 ES. First time I use them will be at Royal Porthcawl on the 21st....Baptism of fire!

Ping have failed to capture me in the irons department due to looks, however since the G/I E9/I blade and the i200 have I seriously given them any thought.
