Ping G30 Fairways

Just purchased a Ping G30 5 wood and absolutely love it. Now looking to get a 3 wood and considering purchasing the newer G version but not sure if the extra money will be worth it.

Has anyone upgraded from the G30 to the G and was it a worthwhile upgrade?
