one transgression would maybe be understandable but he's got these women all over the place, at least 3 so likely more. There have been dozens of transgressions!

You can't expect a marriage to last on dozens of liasons with loose women.

If you want to play the field dont get married and have kids. Exercise some self control and show some moral backbone.

He probably is the greatest thing to happen to golf I agree but it doesn't mean you can behave like he's done and expect everyone to see you as they've always done!

There is only one loser in this and that’s Tigers wife. If she had total trust in him then she will be well cut up and all the crap that’s flying around from all quarters will not help. Tigers clean cut reputation is blown away, that’s for sure, but he wont be the first or the last. Thinking about it, was it Tiger who built that image, I dont think so. In the bigger world it really doesnt matter one jot.

It will be interesting to see the reaction when he comes out to play……..golf that is.

as dodger says in the "woods hurt in car crash" thread... tiger has been struck down by the disease known more commonly as "the warmth"...this disease can strike anyone at any time... chances of infection are however considerably increased via alcohol...all joking aside, tiger is obviously not the first and won't be the last famous sportsman to be caught "playing away"... the list is endless...beckham, lampard, henry, faldo, lance armstrong, botham, warne and several others that i cannae think of at present...all massive figures in the sporting world struck down by the disease...

Its not just sportsmen though. Its across all areas of planet celebrity where infidelity is almost an occupational hazard. Can't condone it for the hurt its will have caused his wife and possibly the kids when they get old enough to understand what daddy did. It does seem Woods was extremely naive to think that a) he wouldn't get caught eventually, b) his various liaisons would keep quiet and that c) all the messages etc wouldn't catch him out.

As others have said he isn't the first and won't be the last. The only redeeming feature seems to be that the US public seem capable of forgiving their major celebrities for most misdemeanours and so it may not hit his public popularity too hard. However I'm pretty sure sponsorswill be looking long and hard at the situation. Nike is an interesting one though. They've become huge in the golfing marketplace solely on their association with Woods so how will they react to their chief marketing strategy being caught with his pants down. I'm guessing tere is no way they'll ditch him but that the contract won't be so lucrative next time around

Tiger is a grumpy git, absolutely quality golfer, but his public persona, to me anyway, is just dull. He's gone down in my already low estimation of him.
