Pairs Ruling

Hi All

2 of the lads from my group are in the pairs comp, however one of them has been struck with long term illness and will miss a few months. Now although through to the 2nd round, they have not actually taken part due to the first round having a bye.

We have asked if i can take place of our friend that is ill, he is saying he doubts it, but will have a look.

Does anyone know if there is a ruling on this or would it be more club specific

It will be club specific, in rules of the comp. one for competition commitee to rule on.
But IMO I wouldn't expect it to be a problem.

As they haven't actually played yet and there are extraordinary circumstances then I'd be surprised if the Committee didn't allow a change....
