Was thinking of buying a new driver maybe a i25 or a callaway big Bertha even a sldr. So had a try with various TM a few other but never really saw much improvement to my FT9 8.5 but as I've got ping irons I was reading about ping driver and reviews that the rapture driver was a long driver when it came out in 2008 well a member was advertising one on eBay so gave him £30 and tried it today well the range is approx 230 yards and using range balls I can't hit it out the rangebut the rapture was clearing the range and hitting the net. Well impressed went for a 10.5 deg rapture with stock ping tfc stiff shaft. Perhaps lofting up might of helped but the Higher loft Taylormade weren't getting there. Loving my new old driver.

I never tried the G25 as my pro only had a senior flex left but would of tried it but probably saved myself £200. The rapture is the original rapture not the lime green v2 one

It just goes to show that for all the manufacturers hype about new technology in their drivers, a good golfer can make the most of any driver.

While I agree with the sentiment, I fail to see the logic in that statement!

To me, it's more appropriate to say...Just because it's new, doesn't mean it's better - for everyone!

Great pickup Tab. That Rapture was a bit of a forgotten club! Hope the magic stays!
