Well, I'm having my left knee replaced on Thursday. As it turns out this is a good time to do it as the high temp here in Charlotte NC will not get above freezing for ten days.
As an avid golfer even at age 75, I hope to recover quickly. I had the right knee done twelve years ago and was back playing in two months. I hear the surgery has improved in the last decade.
Hopefully, I'll be back quicker this time. Have any of you across the pond had this surgery recently? If so, please share your experience (unless it was really bad).
Thanks!

Had a partial replacement to my left knee 9 years ago and, like you, recovered quickly - 2/3 months before i was back to my awful self (golf wise). 8 years later had same op on my right knee but this time, although I was back "playing" after 3/4 months, it took best part of a year before I started committing to a full shot. Even now my follow through seems restricted. Bear in mind that I'm a leftie so my right knee takes most of the turning pressure.

At our age, 8 years between the ops can make a lot of difference in recovery time. Wish you well and do the physio!!

Thanks to all. I will attack the exercises as I want to get back on the course as quickly as possible.
