Option when organising a 4BBB pairs comp

I have organised a 4BBB comp for our society and a person has just dropped out the day before leaving a single player in the field , what options can you recommend for this player ?

The 3 ball play as two pairs with the highest handicapper having two bites of the cherry so to speak

Just pick any random player from the whole group and he is the partner of the player who currently doesn't have one.

As above, someone has 2 bites but that's the easiest and best way, they just work their score out afterwards, very simple.

Agree, pick a handicap somewhere in the middle of the group for the ghost player and calculate afterwards. Not perfect but best compromise.
