I followed him around the practice days of The Open last year just cos he seemed pretty fun. Seems to be in a little bit of form and around the average age of first time winner in recent years (32/33). That said, I actually don't think he'll win it, but at 350/1 I thought it was worth a quid each way

I wouldn't disagree with your thinking, he does strike me as a quirky sort of player who might do well this year, he is in that profile of a relatively unknown American player who has won a few tournaments in the states that comes over The Open and plays well

I would interested to hear the reasoning behind Johnson Wagner, mainly because I said to a mate when he was leading the Greenbrier that he is type of American who might crop up at the Open one day but couldn't explain why
